Originally built to service the construction workers building Karapiro Dam in the 1940's Ariki Lake House has always held a special place in the hearts of the Rodger family, resonating with the buildings character and history.

Once a bustling local shop and a popular stop for tourist buses, our family fondly remembers collecting their mail and buying milk from the building when it was the local store.

As locals working in high performance sport, both Shem and Mike witnessed first-hand the struggles to find accommodation in the area. When Ariki Lake House came up for sale, we jumped at the opportunity to restore this tired treasure and give it a new lease of life for events and accommodation.
